Fall and Rise
Winter just made a shot over the bow. It'll be more of an Indian summer in a few days, and who knows how long it'll last, but the snow was nice.

Amsterdam was very good. I had great company, got to spend some more time after the convention to see some of the sights without the pressure of being up early. I really hope that it happens again next year.

Vegas sucked worse than it has, probably ever. I don't know if I'll ever do that again, at least in that format. Very, very disappointed.

NOLA is coming up, and I am looking forward to it. It's a place I have never been, and it's unlike anywhere I've ever been, so there's definitely an interesting element there. I will be with familiar faces, and with good friends, and that always makes things better. Wish I could have my lady with me also, but I'd rather have her in Amsterdam next year.

I am keeping my weight off, even though I am not cycling nearly as much as I used to. I would still be doing a regular two-days of one hour per, but I need to have some minor surgery done on one of my knees to take care of a little problem that cropped up about a year ago at some time. I don't want to push it, and don't want to make it worse, so I'm going to take it easy.

Still enjoying work, and have no complaints. It's a good place for me to be, and I have no plans to leave.

Hope to keep my car running in its present form throughout the winter, if possible, though I have tossed around the idea of getting another car. I might pick up a replacement engine for the Legacy, but we'll see how that goes. It's probably the best route, and will keep the car going for the long term. There's nothing wrong with it that money can't fix. Hell, I even own it now!
